Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air to lease five new aircraft from Avolon
Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private carrier is to take five new Airbus Aircraft A320neo family on lease from Avolon.
The transaction was announced on 19 November, at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
The new aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2027, and will support Centrum Air’s route expansion and growth plans.
Avolon added Centrum Air as a customer earlier this year through the lease of an A320ceo that was delivered last month.
This was also the Irish lessor’s first delivery to Uzbeki customer.
Launched in 2023, the Tashkent-based carrier currently operates a fleet of 13 Airbus aircraft, including A320, A320neo, A321neo, and three widebody A330-300s.
Centrum Air currently flies to more than 40 domestic and international destinations including Dubai, Istanbul, Delhi, Seoul, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Phuket, and Male.
“We are pleased to expand our partnership with Avolon as we continue to grow our fleet and strengthen our international network. These new aircraft will play an important role in supporting our strategic plans for expansion and improving the travel experience for our passengers. This cooperation marks another milestone in Centrum Air’s long-term development,” commented Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of Centrum Air.
